CLEANSING SILK

THE STORY BEHIND THE PRODUCT: After I became a mother, I had to find an easy routine. Most nights I would have a baby on one arm while trying to cleanse my face with the other... It wasn’t easy. I wanted to create a product that could be all-in-one, as I simply didn’t have time for the big setup every night. Cleansing Silk is a balm that gently removes makeup and impurities and then when you add water, it turns into a cleansing milk, which is exactly what I wanted - an all-in-one cleanser that left my skin silky smooth and not all dried out, as many other cleansing products can do. Cleansing Silk also contains my superhero ingredient, Blue Tansy, to calm skin and with anti-inflammatory benefits. And yes, I can now remove makeup and cleanse my skin with one hand and without a mirror.

ART. 1011: The birthday of one of my previous team members, as she introduced me to a cleanser with multiple uses, which inspired me to create the Cleansing Silk.

Gently massage 2-3 pumps of Cleansing Silk onto dry skin with fingertips to lift makeup and impurities. Then apply water to transform the cleanser into a silky milk-like texture. Continue to massage the cleanser into the skin to remove makeup and impurities. Finish by wiping your face with a warm damp cloth. Skin will feel calm and fresh with the very subtle scent of natural skin transforming and healing ingredients.

BLUE TANSY: Our hero ingredient, Blue Tansy, is a yellow flower which is related to the chamomile plant. The blue color appears during steam extraction of the flowers and stems, due to a compound called azulene.The healing properties of Blue Tansy stem from the azulene pigment that gives the oil its striking sapphire color. The high quantity of azulene gives the ability to soothe, calm and heal damaged skin. Blue Tansy has powerful anti-inflammatory features and contains strong anti-redness properties. Whether your skin is breakout-prone, dry, sensitive, or chronically dull, products made with blue tansy oil can make a huge difference. Blue Tansy has powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-bacterial & anti-fungal properties which can calm and smooth a range of skin concerns including eczema, acne, and sun damage. It may seem counterintuitive to apply an oil to oily skin that’s prone to acne or blemishes. But the natural antibacterial and calming properties make it a winner for clearing and preventing blemishes and acne. Those with blemish and acne-prone skin are often surprised to discover the powerful calming healing and skin-clearing properties of this botanical blue oil.


EVENING PRIMROSE: Evening Primrose Oil soothes and moisturizes the skin while enhancing elasticity. Furthermore, it promotes a healthy, clear, rejuvenated complexion with enhanced radiance and addresses roughness, wrinkles, redness, dryness, and irritation. It facilitates the healing process, reduces the appearance of scars, and calms inflammation. The benefits of Evening Primrose for skin makes it an excellent carrier oil for all skin types.

MILK THISTLE SEED OIL: Milk thistle keeps your skin looking young and radiant. It encourages healthy cell growth and increases collagen production. Particularly suited for dry and irritated as well as mature skin, supplies the skin with an intensive nourishing and regenerative effect, protects the skin against environmental conditions.

KUKUI SEED OIL: Kukui Nut Oil absorbs into the deepest layers of the skin and creates a barrier that protects against environmental damage. It soothes and softens the skin, leaving it with renewed elasticity.

AVOCADO OIL: Avocado oil is an emollient, highly permeating oil. The natural content of vitamins A and E work synergistically to improve the skin texture. Avocado Oil is known for its moisturising properties leaving dry and chapped skin feeling nourished and hydrated. Avocado oil can also strengthen the skin’s barrier and enable better moisture retention.

Will the cleanser make my skin feel tight?

Will the cleanser clog my pores?
