I recommend using this calming blue tansy balm on top of Blue Drops as an overnight face treatment, when skin feels extra dry. Will not clog your pores. Can also be used as a protecting frost cream by the whole family.

    Application

    Massage a pea size amount onto skin or lips. Can also be applied as a night balm for those with dry skin or as a frost cream. Apply as needed. Skin will feel supple with breathable hydration.

    BLUE TANSY: Our hero ingredient, Blue Tansy, is a yellow flower which is related to the chamomile plant. The blue color appears during steam extraction of the flowers and stems, due to a compound called azulene.The healing properties of Blue Tansy stem from the azulene pigment that gives the oil its striking sapphire color. The high quantity of azulene gives the ability to soothe, calm and heal damaged skin. Blue Tansy has powerful anti-inflammatory features and contains strong anti-redness properties. Whether your skin is breakout-prone, dry, sensitive, or chronically dull, products made with blue tansy oil can make a huge difference. Blue Tansy has powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-bacterial & anti-fungal properties which can calm and smooth a range of skin concerns including eczema, acne, and sun damage. It may seem counterintuitive to apply an oil to oily skin that’s prone to acne or blemishes. But the natural antibacterial and calming properties make it a winner for clearing and preventing blemishes and acne. Those with blemish and acne-prone skin are often surprised to discover the powerful calming healing and skin-clearing properties of this botanical blue oil.

    KUKUI SEED OIL: Kukui Nut Oil absorbs into the deepest layers of the skin and creates a barrier that protects against environmental damage. It soothes and softens the skin, leaving it with renewed elasticity.

    JOJOBA BUTTER: Softens and nourishes the skin, improving elasticity and acts as a natural moisturizer with effective skin penetration.

    VITAMIN E: Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps protect from damage caused by free radicals. These can harm skin cells, leading to premature aging and dullness. As such Vitamin E can help maintain skin’s youthful appearance and radiance. Quite simply, Vitamin E is an excellent moisturizer which helps to keep the skin hydrated. Vitamin E also supports the natural barrier. This reduces water loss and keeps the skin plump. Vitamin E has the ability to speed up the healing process, which makes it a popular treatment for reducing the appearance of scars and stretch marks.

    THE STORY BEHIND THE PRODUCT:
    I have always been into multi-balms. It is so fascinating how the right combination of ingredients can benefit our skin in so many ways. I wanted a calming, yet ultra nourishing and protecting balm to soothe and hydrate my skin, but without clogging my pores. I use this balm on top of the Blue Drops, to lock in hydration and give my skin extra moisture during fall and winter especially. I use it on my elbows, for my psoriasis and I also use it on my daughter when she has a small scar and as a frost cream on her face in the winter. She calls it the Blue Magic Balm.

    ART 0896: Dedicated to a dear friend who was my test-person when I was creating the balm. She fell so in love with the product that the art number had to be her birthday date and year.

    Yes, slightly. In dry climates it feels more comforting and protective, while in humid climates it feels lighter - in both cases supporting the skin’s barrier and balance.

    The Calming Blue Balm is very well-suited as a spot treatment for sudden flare-ups of irritation, but can also be used for normal occurrences such as dry patches etc.

    Does the balm leave any film or sheen on the skin after application, or does it absorb fully?
    The product’s waxy texture can work as a sealant for the skin - so no, it doesn’t absorb fully on the skin, and it will leave a slight “film” on the skin.
