The unique notes behind our scents

The unique notes behind our scents

Behind every fragrance are ingredients, accords and raw materials that shape its character.

Some come directly from plants and resins, while others are created to capture a specific feeling or atmosphere.

We have selected four distinctive notes from our fragrances and taken a closer look at what they are and what they bring to the scent.

DRIFTWOOD

Found in PETIT SAUVAGE

Driftwood is wood that has been carried by rivers, lakes or the sea and washed ashore, shaped over time by water, salt and weather.

In perfumery, the note captures this dry, woody and slightly salty character. In PETIT SAUVAGE, it adds a raw coastal feel alongside Wild Fig, Pineapple, Wild Lime and Sea Salt.

SMOKED HONEY

Found in LOBBY BOY

Honey is a naturally rich and sweet scent profile with warm, golden and slightly floral nuances. In perfumery, a smoked honey note is typically created as an accord, combining the sweetness of honey with darker, smoky facets.

In LOBBY BOY, it brings warmth and depth while adding a subtle sweetness to the Tobacco Leaf, Dried Grass and woody notes.

OLIBANUM

Found in BLACKENED SANTAL

Olibanum, also known as frankincense, is an aromatic resin obtained from trees of the Boswellia family. The resin has been used for centuries in incense and traditional rituals.

Its scent is warm, resinous, woody and subtly smoky, with a fresh almost citrus like edge. In BLACKENED SANTAL, it adds depth and character alongside Sandalwood, Cardamom, Iris and Sea Salt.

CASHMERE

Found in LAST RESORT

Cashmere is a soft, fine fiber that comes from the undercoat of cashmere goats, traditionally found in regions of Central and East Asia.

In perfumery, Cashmere is recreated as an accord to evoke the same soft, warm and enveloping feeling. In LAST RESORT, it adds a smooth, comforting character alongside White Musk, Amber and woods.
